Your resume is a piece of writing that you use to promote yourself. So don't be shy about using any promotional content that you can think of. For instance, many candidates will just include previous work experiences. You can go one step further by including testimonials from high profile individuals. Spend some time to think about the kind of content you can include to make yourself stand out.
A resume is an important document which should include as much of your personal information as possible. In fact it is your life history. You should gather all the required information as shown below.
This leads us to one of the first things resume reviewers usually see: the objective statement. Objective statements are about what you and what you want. This goes directly against our advice to remember that resumes are not about you. What can you do? The most effective resume are focused resumes, but clearly an objective statement is not the best way to create that focus. The solution is a qualifications summary . A well-written qualifications summary will take the place of an objective, immediately conveying the focus of the resume while emphasizing exactly what it is you bring to the employment table that will set you apart from other applicants. In other words, a qualifications summary is employer-centered rather than self-centered.
After reading the resume summary, the employer should know, without a shadow of a doubt, that you are the best man or woman for the job. This is where you will shine! This will be your moment to show your stuff. After reading this section of your resume, you want the employer to be compelled to pick up the phone and call you for an interview!
